Makers Off the Wall is a concept campaign I created that celebrates the creative community behind Vans, the muralists, builders, and artists whose craft keeps street culture alive. Rooted in authenticity and community, the campaign highlights the beauty of imperfection and the energy of creating by hand. It’s a tribute to the makers shaping our neighborhoods and defining what it means to live Off the Wall.

Meet the Makers
“Meet the Makers” celebrates the creative community that keeps culture alive from the ground up. These are the painters, printers, builders, and dreamers whose hands shape the spaces we live in, the quiet creators behind every mural, poster, and handcrafted detail that gives a neighborhood its soul.
This series highlights the beauty of process and the power of community reminding us that art doesn’t just exist in galleries or studios, but in garages, workshops, and sidewalks across every city. Through their work, these makers redefine what it means to live Off the Wall: to create with passion, share knowledge, and inspire others to pick up their tools and tell their own stories.
Robin Eisenberg — Illustrator & Muralist (Los Angeles, CA)
Known for her radiant, space-infused art, Robin merges cosmic imagination with grounded humanity.
Her work often portrays bold, otherworldly figures in familiar, intimate moments making the strange feel deeply personal. She’s brought this vision to life in collaboration with Vans (including murals and Custom Culture projects) and continues to champion art that blends accessibility, identity, and community.
Yusuke Hanai - Illustrator & Cultural Storyteller (Tokyo / Global)
Yusuke brings surf culture, human imperfection, and cross-cultural identity into his work. His collaborations with Vans are not just about putting art on product, they’re about translating personal expression into wearable, community rooted pieces..
“When I make art for products, I always think about how they will translate to something that’s wearable. It’s about finding the balance … between the consumers and the artist.”
Kristen Liu-Wong — Artist & Illustrator (Los Angeles, CA)
Kristen blends myth, human narratives, emotion, and symbolic texture in her illustrations. Her journey building her voice even when gatekeepers were unsure reflects the maker spirit of persistence, creative autonomy, and telling stories no one else has the guts to tell..

Makers Service Tee
I made this as a nod to traditional small business workwear, the Makers Service Tee features a clean, timeless layout for company and contact details.
Designed for versatility, it’s an everyday staple that pairs easily with any look

The Maker Custom Illustration
I made this custom illustration logo for Vans’ Makers Inspired by the vintage, old school style of small businesses from the 1950s that proudly displayed their illustrated logos on work tees, this piece combines that nostalgic charm with modern details.
I added fun halftone shadows to give it depth and character, making it both visually distinctive and easy to wear as a classic, everyday tee.
